When one selects “Provision application on account’s domain” on the Activation Parameters on an APS Application, the user is presented a dropdown under a heading of “Application Access Domain” labeled “Installation Domain.”

Question:  How does one go about getting the value selected by the user?

So . . . I did find (had found before my first post) the “domain-name” class.  My issue was that I was trying to get that value passed along to my configure script, but I wanted it to be visible.  This allowed the user to type a different value than what was selected in the dropdown.  I did figure out that I could use an entry-point to display the value of the now-hidden variable.  All is well.

Didn’t I respond to this? Just curious if you took down my post or if it was the moderator. I think the code I shared could have helped someone down the road so I’m just trying to figure out what happened here. It would be nice to see a community develop around APS development considering it is already confusing enough…but there’s no sense spending the time if it’s going to be in vain!

Could someone please give a more detailed way to use the “domain-name” class for settings ?

When I try to install the application as a client user, in the “select domain” step, i just see the message “No item(s) found”; Is there something more that i need to add to the application/app resource/service template/subscription to be able to use the client’s domains ?
The client has in the “hosted domains” screen at least 2 domains that have mx records attached;

I am testing this on http://demo.apsstandard.org:8080/

The code I am using can be found in the attached file.

Please note that the thread from http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=259082 did not help me at all :-<
